I give Al and his team a 5-star rating. I have a Toyota with 200,000 miles. He is very honest with me as to what costs will be and want to anticipate with a vehicle with this many miles on it. I need for it to last 4 more years. If Al can't do it, no one can. |

They were very helpful |

Al?s honest and explains your options for repairs. |

Service was completed in a timely manner. Al called to explain the problem with our AC and gave us two options for repairs. We thought the price was fair |

Excellent Service. Good Customer care. Car left very clean. Ready on time. Costs quoted up front is what I paid. |

We are so happy to have found Al's Auto repair. We feel they are very trustworthy and reasonable prices. Always great service. this time it was just a longer wait time than usual. But they did tell us as soon as we arrived that they were running a little late. |

Price was kinda high. Parts charged at doubled the listed price at Napa or other retailers. The workmanship was good. |
Shop Comment Thanks for the feedback , Our parts price reflects the warranty we provide and depending on the type of part can be more than the local parts stores sell it for. We appreciate your business and review. |

Taking my car in for an oil change, I received very good service from Al and his staff - they were prompt and polite. The staff provided a list of helpful repairs that would be needed on the car, included cost estimates, and prioritized them in terms of need. This was much appreciated and Al even took the time to answer my questions regarding each need - a very nice touch. However, a short time after I visited my home town and took the car to my family's long-trusted mechanic, asking them to review the list of identified changes. This mechanic confirmed that the repairs proposed by Al's shop were legitimate, but they indicated that a few of the repairs needed further investigation to determine whether there was an immediate need. Among some of these proposed repairs, it was determined that the parts proposed for repair were actually still in appropriate working condition and that rotation of the part rather than outright replacement was a sufficient and preferable alternative to replacement at this point. This was the case for about 5/10 repairs suggested by Al's staff. My hometown mechanic indicated that it?s possible some of the repairs suggested by Al's staff were likely based on mileage rather than actual wear. Again, my home town mechanic affirmed all of the repairs identified but believed that there were alternative approaches that were safe, responsible, and sufficient to address the identified need without costing my as much. Ultimately, I saved ~ $400 compared to the prices quoted by Al's staff. |

Shop Comment Bruce so sorry you were dissatisfied with our service. The NC law states when a customer requests a inspection the inspection must be perfomed. The law is quite clear on the rules and requirements for the inspection. This would be the same at any shop that is following the law. That is why they give you 60 days to correct the failure and return for a free reinspection. |
